Since February 5, the number of trains plying between Russia and Ukraine has almost halved, writes an Interfax news source. Ukrzaliznytsia decided that the Kharkov-Moscow-Kharkov and Odessa-Moscow-Odessa trains would run every other day instead of daily flights. The decrease in the number of flights is associated with a sharp drop in passenger traffic, which has decreased by 20% over the past six months. It is worth noting that the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, on a personal Facebook page, expressed hope for the complete abolition of the railway communication between the countries in the near future.
