The railway arch of the Crimean bridge is connected to the first span

The builders connected the railway arch of the bridge across the Kerch Strait with the first span from Kerch, RIA Novosti reported, citing a message on the official page of the Crimean Bridge on Twitter. A month earlier, it was reported that the builders laid six of the 38 kilometers of the upper structure of the double-track railway through the Kerch Strait. The Crimean Bridge is the longest in Russia, its length is 19 kilometers. President Vladimir Putin opened the automobile part of the bridge on May 15, although it was originally planned to start moving in December. Since May 16, the bridge was opened for cars and buses, and since October 1 - for trucks. The beginning of the movement of trains on the bridge is scheduled for December 2019.
