The railway arch of the Crimean bridge is connected to the first section

The constructions are moving forward and the bridge’s railway arch has been connected as reported by RIA Novosti, quoting a message from the official Crimean bridge Twitter account. A month ago, it was reported that around 6 of the 38kms of the upper double-rail railway structure, that goes through the Strait of Kerch. The Crimean bridge is the longest one in Russia, it is 19 kilometres long. The Russian president Vladimir Putin inaugurated the vehicle road of the bridge on May 15th, although it was planned to be opened in December. Since May 16th, the bridge has been open to cars and buses, and since October 1st, for trucks and lorries. Trains are planned to start operating through the bridge in December 2019.
