On January 23, the annual international exhibition dedicated to business tourism began at the Feria Exhibition Center in Madrid. The event is aimed at promoting key segments of the tourism industry, for example, FITUR 2019 has introduced a new area of B2B cooperation focused on MICE tourism. FITUR MITM format - MICE & BUSINESS provides a schedule of up to 30 pre-arranged meetings between exhibiting companies interested in participating in the program - up to 100 companies and with priority for exhibitors entering into contracts - and up to 100 qualified international managers (corporate, promotional companies event organizers and conferences and international associations). Registration for participation can be done through the FITUR website. In recent years, MICE tourism has grown and become key for the industry, as evidenced by 12,558 conferences of international associations held around the world in 2017, according to data from the International Congress and Convention Association ICCA. It should be noted that FITUR 2019 will be the meeting place for tourism professionals and will again become the leading exhibition for the incoming and outgoing markets of Latin America. The last event gathered 251 thousand participants, with nearly 7 thousand business meetings.
