Scotland has developed a special supplemented reality application: the product is the result of the fruitful collaboration of Visit Scotland and Google. The project was coined in the framework of the advertising travel company "Scotland Is Now". Scotland has become one of the first countries in the world to use such technological advances to attract tourists to the country: the application, using virtual reality, is able to show tourists colorful landscapes of the country, historical sights and popular tourist places: users will have the opportunity to explore Edinburgh Castle and stroll along the famous factories for the production of whiskey, although, of course, the new development can not convey the taste of the drink. For the development of the application was responsible for a major marketing company Whitespace, and the necessary content was provided by the Scottish government and the state organization Visit Scotland. The logistics of the data that are the content of the application were assisted by the Scottish universities, and Google was responsible for the technical part of the product.
