The Norwegian health authorities have imposed strict restrictions on the entry of foreigners into the country from March 12 to 26. Measures are being introduced with respect to residents - those who return from any country, with the exception of the countries of Scandinavia, are required to sit in a two-week home quarantine. The absence of symptoms of the disease is not a basis for refusal. For more information, visit VisitNorway.com.
“Tourists who are not residents of Scandinavia must leave Norway or quarantine immediately. Travelers with symptoms of the disease are subject to isolation, ”the message says. All of these measures apply to all arrivals in the country after February 27. Most of the attractions in Norway are closed to prevent the spread of infection.
Tour operators surveyed by TourDom.ru reported that there were no Russian tourists among their clients in the country. “For the period of quarantine, we have not booked a single tour,” one of the companies specified. “We are confident that the country is absolutely safe and calm, but because of the excess negative information background, panic and fear appear already at the government level.”
In another tour operator, the message does not see any threat to those going on a cruise along the coast of Norway - "their launch is scheduled for mid-May."
