The temple of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, erected in the XVIII century, was restored in the village Putilovo Leningrad region. The temple is open to attendance by parishioners after an 80-year hiatus, when it was virtually destroyed. The restoration process required a large number of invested funds and forces. For the restoration work was allocated 90 million rubles, allocated from the federal budget. In the process of reconstruction, brickwork was cleaned, walls, vaults, columns were reconstructed, marble floors and window sills were reconstructed from natural stone, the TASS news agency reported.
