This was told in the Federation of restaurateurs and hoteliers (RFiO) Izvestia.
We are mainly talking about hotels that hosted Chinese tourists in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk. Rooms in other hotels can get cheaper by 20-30 percent.
According to the publication, guests from China accounted for about a third of the total inbound flow to Russia. Moreover, in Baikal and the Far East, where there are even more tourists from China, the reduction in demand is more noticeable.
According to the head of the department of apart-hotels at Becar Asset Management, Eugenia Gil, the tourist market in St. Petersburg is already on the verge of panic. On average, room prices fell ten percent.
