In Kazan passed a lesson of geography from the international space station.

A unique educational project “Lessons of geography from orbital altitudes”, active participant of which is the University of Kazan, allowed to establish communications with the astronauts of the ISS.

Conversation with the students, Lyceum students and students of Artek, gathered in the walls of the university, was kept by the head of expedition Anton Shkaplerov and the onboard engineer of the station Oleg Artemyev. They talked about the work at the station, as well as their activities within the project “Lessons of geography”. Its main task is to capture the changes in the environment, make photos of areas from space and send them to experts for analysis.

Thus, the astronauts talked that there are not observed major changes in the ecological environment of the Republic of Tatarstan for the last years.

“Lessons of geography” will be held for students and schoolchildren until 2020.
