Ecological tourists want to see the Amur tiger in wildlife most of all, of all the rare animals. 27% of respondents voted for it. Also on the list of the most desirable wild animals to see in their natural habitat are the snow leopard (23% of the votes) and the Far Eastern leopard (17% of the votes). Tourists admitted that they would gladly watch a polar bear, a red or mountain wolf, and a sea lion. The population of the Amur tiger in Russia has grown by 15% in the last 10 years. In 2017, the number was already 550. And the largest population of this predator lives in the Primorye Territory - 460 tigers.
