The user of the tourist service Aviasales offered to fight the Prophet's bot and guess the price of the ticket in order to win a trip to Germany, Interfax reports. "The Prophet" is a powerful service for forecasting the cost of air tickets, which analyzes the statistics for the last ten years. Thus, the service may recommend to book now or wait until the price of the ticket falls. At the same time, there are also “non-linear” factors, such as a jump in the exchange rate and the use of aircraft, which artificial intelligence cannot reveal. Travelers are invited to fly to the event - for example, at Wacken Open Air in the summer of next year - and the actual ticket price to date. Then the "Prophet" predicts how much the same ticket will cost in three weeks. The task of the user is to guess whether the cost will increase or decrease. Fighting the Prophet is a joint project of Aviasales with the National Tourist Office of Germany, so participants who beat the robot will be able to win a trip to this country.
