Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz announced on Sunday that he would close the entrance to the country from Russia, Britain, the Netherlands and Ukraine in order to combat the spread of coronavirus, the ORF channel reports.
"Entry into Austria is prohibited for arrivals from the UK, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Russia," the channel said.
Austria also temporarily stops flights with these countries.
From Tuesday next week, restaurants and cafes are closing in the country, and sports and playgrounds will be closed. Earlier, authorities announced the closure of schools.
